Uglies (2024) Hindi 720p HDRip is a predictable dystopian teen drama that offers no surprises. It’s filled with overused tropes and clichéd sci-fi scenarios, without bringing any fresh ideas to the table. The plot heavily borrows from the 1976 classic sci-fi film Logan’s Run and its preceding novel, while the core concept feels like an episode from The Twilight Zone: How far would you go to fit in with the “pretty” crowd?
In this world, everyone is already “pretty,” as the cast features young, attractive, and fit adults. There are no overweight, disabled, or disfigured characters, and the only flaw in this CGI-filled universe is a single scar on a hand — which is treated as horrifying. While this might be forgivable if the writing and acting were as strong as in The Hunger Games—another YA series with a dystopian theme—Uglies falls short, with lines like, “Yup, I’m David” lacking depth and impact.
